Well, two at the moment. As far as I know, there won\u2019t be any more added to the schedule. I don\u2019t know how much more we can handle, especially when we have to split our time between the show, our regular jobs, and kaiju wrangling. Plus, I have a girlfriend\u2026who\u2019s upset with me. (Damnit!) Anyway, I took a lot of notes on <a href=\"https:\/\/monsterislandfilmvault.com\/index.php\/2024\/03\/14\/episode-86-the-whale-god-vs-daniel-dimanna-vs-elijah-thomas\/\">episode 86 (<em>The Whale God<\/em>)<\/a>, which I\u2019m sure will do nothing but shamelessly promote <a href=\"https:\/\/srscinemastore.com\/search?q=the+whale+god\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SRS Cinema\u2019s release of this film<\/a>. (I need to be paid for all this free publicity).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Never question what I know about robots and piloting! I\u2019ve watched every Gundam series five times. (Okay, maybe I\u2019ve watched five Gundam series once\u2026).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You goofballs are such SRS shills in this. I hope you got paid for it. Oh, wait\u2026.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Must you talk about whale racism? We\u2019re going to get letters from the Gorilla Whales\u2026again.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u201cDickatry.\u201d Someone call Merriam-Webster; we have a new word for them.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The shenanigans Alf and I got into\u2026I wish I could talk about them.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The puns only got worse after the Entertaining Info Dump. They would kill some people.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Don\u2019t forget <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0049900\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Warning from Space<\/a><\/em>, Marchand! That was a \u201ckaiju\u201d film before this!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>That was the weirdest wandering accent I\u2019ve ever heard. How the hell do you go from Davey Jones to Sean Connery?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Killing a whale to become Takashi Shimura is freaking weird, man! The sad thing is there are people in the Godzilla fandom who would try it.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I might\u2019ve ripped a voice box out of a Five Nights at Freddy\u2019s animatronic. It was my Predator-style prize!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What did William Hughes do? I don\u2019t know. I couldn\u2019t find anything on him. I did find other actors named William Hughes on IMDb, though.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Toyo\u2019s glaring reminds me of angry Kaguya. That\u2019s all I\u2019ve been seeing for a few weeks now. She\u2019s slowly coming around\u2026I think.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The definitions\/descriptions I found for <em>jidaigeki<\/em> films included:<ul><li><a href=\"https:\/\/jff.jpf.go.jp\/read\/interview\/jidaigeki\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u201c\u2026films set in pre-modern Japan up to around the latter half of the 1870s that depict human dramas and combat between samurai.\u201d<\/a><\/li><\/ul><ul><li>\u201cJidaigeki (\u6642\u4ee3\u5287) is a genre of film, television, video game, and theatre in Japan. Literally meaning &#8220;period dramas&#8221;, they are most often set during the Edo period of Japanese history, from 1603 to 1868. Some are set much earlier\u2014Portrait of Hell, for example, is set during the late Heian period\u2014and the early Meiji era is also a popular setting.\u201d (<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Jidaigeki\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wikipedia<\/a>)<\/li><\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>So, I hate to disappoint Elijah, but I don\u2019t think his new wife, <em>Godzilla Minus One<\/em>, counts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I\u2019m the studliest guy in every room I enter. Even Glen admitted that when he trained me at NASA.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I do have Twit-X. Perhaps I\u2019ll check on Elijah there. Someone has to keep him in check. Marchand is failing at that. (Although, he did get smacked in the face by Kujira Kami after the show).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I downloaded and added a proper drum roll to our soundboard.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sometimes Nate and I have fact check races. He won this time. <em>This time\u2026.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u201cKujira Kami\u201d not \u201cGami,\u201d Nate.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Yes, don\u2019t blow hole my mind. (ba-dum-tsh!)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This episode might hold the record for most rimshots and sad trombones.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I\u2019m definitely changing that Wi-Fi password. We can\u2019t have randos in Seoul hacking our Wi-Fi. We need the bandwidth to produce the show and catch kaiju.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>There is, in fact, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kcg.go.kr\/kcg\/main.do\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Korean Coast Guard<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In our next episode, we start the South Korean leg of our World Tour with <em>Yongary, Monster from the Deep <\/em>(1967), which will feature special guest Neil Riebe (aka Yongary\u2019s biggest fan). Then we have season four\u2019s first Patreon-sponsored episode (which, as Nate said, could be called \u201cCorman\u2019s Crabs\u201d) with executive producer Damon Noyes\u2014and it\u2019s a double feature: <em>Attack of the Crab Monsters <\/em>and <em>Island Claws<\/em>. What Nate failed to mention was Danny will return later this month for a bonus episode on <em>Space Monster Wangmagwi<\/em>. Another SRS title? We need to start charging for this publicity!
