Anyway, episode 84 on <em>Mighty Peking Man<\/em> was an interesting one. John LeMay and I continue to keep the hatchet buried, but my new mic is still hot garbage. Gah! Despite these distractions, I still did my due diligence and took notes on this episode in my iconic riff-tastic way. Let\u2019s get into them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Nate going off topic? Which, by the way, is Chen Zhengfeng.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The G-Fest filmmakers are Dojo Studios. You should know this because you\u2019re cameoing in a crowd scene in their new film.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I watch this flick for Ms. Kraft, too. Don\u2019t most straight guys, weird or otherwise? (Not that I\u2019m saying I\u2019m weird\u2026because I am\u2026but not that kind of weird, I swear!)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Kaguya hit me because of this movie\u2026but not while watching it\u2026I don\u2019t want to talk about it.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It\u2019s nice that great minds like mine and John\u2019s think alike about a Hong Kong giant ape-man movie.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Slander? I\u2019ve seen your search history for \u201cpodcast films,\u201d Marchand! You sure you\u2019re sticking to the \u201cno porn\u201d rule?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We need a larger number of angry anti-rapist kaiju. We\u2019d have a hell of a lot fewer problems then.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Teruyoshi Nakano and I were best friends. We had a shared love of explosions. Why do you think Venus blew up?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>From <em>Wikizilla<\/em>: \u201cDirector Keizo Murase originally conceived of the idea for <em>Brush of the God<\/em> while making <em>The Mighty Peking Man<\/em>, following a suggestion that he write a film for Hong Kong producer Chua Lam.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Low-hanging fruit and monkeys? Not your best joke, John.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I didn\u2019t stand a chance?! Against who?! EXPLAIN YOURSELF!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I searched for a feminist essay on <em>Mighty Peking <\/em>Man. Sadly, I don\u2019t have access to a scholarly database, and <a href=\"https:\/\/scholar.google.com\/scholar?hl=en&amp;as_sdt=0%2C15&amp;q=mighty+peking+man+feminism&amp;btnG=\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">this is all I could find on Google Scholar<\/a>. Perhaps they haven\u2019t discovered this film yet? (Let\u2019s keep it that way).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It\u2019s pronounced \u201cka-zem\u201d not \u201ccha-zem\u201d John.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Take it up with Capt. Gordon about the Asylum stealing my Mechani-Kong Mk. II plans? How about Raymund!
