It\u2019s always fun having Mr. Hudgens on. I remind him daily that, while he kinda looks like Glen, I <em>knew <\/em>Glen. Jack\u2019s Twit-X avatar is Nick Adams, but Nick Adams is my spirit animal. In other words, accept no substitutions! Anyway, let\u2019s get into my notes on this episode.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>It\u2019s always a red letter day when Nate admits he\u2019s wrong. Now he needs to admit I\u2019m right. (I\u2019m always right\u2026most of the time).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>C.S. Lewis originally wrote about \u201cchronological snobbery\u201d in <em><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Surprised_by_Joy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Surprised by Joy<\/a><\/em>, where he wrote, \u201cBarfield never made me an Anthroposophist, but his counterattacks destroyed forever two elements in my own thought. In the first place he made short work of what I have called my \u2018chronological snobbery,\u2019 the uncritical acceptance of the intellectual climate common to our own age and the assumption that whatever has gone out of date is on that account discredited. You must find why it went out of date. Was it ever refuted (and if so by whom, where, and how conclusively) or did it merely die away as fashions do? If the latter, this tells us nothing about its truth or falsehood. From seeing this, one passes to the realization that our own age is also \u2018a period,\u2019 and certainly has, like all periods, its own characteristic illusions. They are likeliest to lurk in those widespread assumptions which are so ingrained in the age that no one dares to attack or feels it necessary to defend them.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Nate wishes he could see <em>Minus One<\/em> five times in a week. (Although, he did correct himself later).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This was cut, but I realized I need to install mics in the green room. Both Reb and \u201cET\u201d piped in a little, but they couldn\u2019t be heard. We have an extra microphone that almost never gets used. I can install it in the green room.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Nate\u2019s jealous of my math skills. No wonder he was an English major.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Speaking as an accidental kamikaze, that was a terrible joke, Nate.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I hear Captain Gordon thought Jack was an imposter on the air. But Gordon was drinking, and he often thinks everyone is impersonating him while inebriated.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Jessica might use her magic powers to turn Nate into a \u201cBaka bomb.\u201d She confirmed this to me personally.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I confirmed the <em><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/HMAS_Australia_(D84)\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">HMAS Australia<\/a><\/em> was attacked five different times by kamikazes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The American ship attacked by 18 kamikazes whose name Nate couldn\u2019t remember was the <em>USS Laffey <\/em>(DD-724). <a href=\"https:\/\/warfarehistorynetwork.com\/article\/japans-kamikaze-pilots-hit-hundreds-of-ships\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">It was the worst kamikaze attack of the war<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Jack said it was a fire extinguisher, not a hose.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u201cThe peanut gallery\u201d? As in \u201cET\u201d? I was checking the broadcast time, too. We went longer than I expected. However, \u201cET\u201d equates quantity with quality, which isn\u2019t always the case. We beat him there.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Laundry bills aren\u2019t covered by our guest services. Although, Gary got around that.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Jack going Super Saiyan was the loudest I\u2019ve ever heard anyone on this show\u2014and I work with Nate Marchand!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nate had a lot of notes for this episode, but he was disallowed by \u201cET\u201d from taking notes on his phone during the film. Nate has decided he\u2019s taking a pad of paper with him from now on. Although, he admits he wouldn\u2019t have been able to take notes while being thrashed by the 4DX seats.
