Bonus Episode #14: I was in ‘ZillaFoot’! | Ft. Daniel DiManna and Elijah Thomas

It’s not often Nate has actors from kaiju films on the show, let alone two of his buddies! Yes, believe it or not, his friends Daniel DiManna (Godzilla Novelization Project) and Elijah Thomas (Kaiju Conversation) both “starred” and “co-directed” the independent schlock-fest ZillaFoot from SRS Cinema. In this episode, which is more of an interview than a review/discussion, Daniel and Elijah talk about how they got involved with this movie and what they did in it. They also try to explain its convoluted history and divulge some juicy insider info! It’s the definitive podcast episode on ZillaFoot! (Worst bragging rights ever…?)

In this JAFAX panel, you’ll take a crash course in the Ultraman series with Nathan Marchand! This required a bit of tweaking because it angered the automated YouTube overlords that Nathan dared show the trailer for Ultraman Blazar, which is why it cuts off at the end. A Compassionate Ultraman | One Monstrous Moment: Alpha Edition

Bonus Episode #4: Interview with Ben Chaffins

As a special Fifth Wednesday Bonus Episode (which will become a regular feature of the show), I interviewed SciFi Japan writer Ben Chaffins about his new book, Discovering Tokusatsu. In it he chronicles his many quests to get interviews with high-profile people working in tokusatsu filmmaking. You’ll hear about how Ben got his gig at SciFi Japan, why he wrote the book, and how much of a “stan” he is for Ultraman: The Next and Ultraman Nexus (whose special effects director he interviewed for an exclusive chapter in this book).
