The Kaiju Groupie
Episode 002: The Full Marchand (with Nathan Marchand of The Monster Island Film Vault)
July 8, 2020
This podcast episode is non-canon to MIFV, but it’s a wonderful interview of me as a writer, podcaster, and kaiju fan, among other things. Michael Hamilton is a great host, a tremendous positive force in the fandom, and a good friend of mine. You’ll hear a different side of me here because the Nathan on MIFV is a character, and this is the real me.

Redeemed Otaku
The Godzilla Anime Trilogy (Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters, Godzilla: City on the Edge of Battle, Godzilla: The Planet Eater)
February 22, 2018; August 7, 2018; January 31, 2019
Before Nathan covered the trilogy as a whole in MIFV episode 3, he appeared on three episodes of Redeemed Otaku, a podcast that reviews anime from a Christian worldview, after each entry was released to give his immediate thoughts on them. For the second and third episodes, his friend Eric Anderson (founder of Nerd Chapel) also joined him and host Bex. The episode on Planet Eater is one of the best analyses in English of that film. (Nathan and Eric also appeared in two other episodes to discuss books they’d co-written, 42: Discovering Faith Through Fandom and The New 42: God Terraforms All Things, bit these are non-canonical to MIFV).

Princess Tutu
October 18, 2020
Nathan was invited by Bex to visit her and record an episode on an anime–with his pseudo-sister clone, Crystal Lady Jessica! To his chagrin, Jessica ditches him and Bex surprises him by saying they’re bingeing and reviewing Princess Tutu, a ballet-themed magical girl anime.

Listen to find out!

Earth Destruction Directive
Episode 88: “You Cheeky Pig!”
December 15, 2020
I visit Luke Jaconetti to discuss a Godzilla film I will always champion: Godzilla vs. Gigan. Yes, it is stupid (or foolish) yet cunning. It’s appropriate I was on this because EDD was one of the first kaiju podcasts I listened to, and the film’s English title more or less inspired the title of my podcast. Jimmy From NASA sorta makes a cameo, too!
